When a plugin needs a newer bridge
Plugins with ComfiConf support are built against a version of the ComfiConf developer API, which the bridge provides on your server. If a plugin was built for a newer version than your bridge, it cannot register its settings. It may say so in the server log; the ComfiConfDemo plugin, for example, asks you to update ComfiConf. Update the bridge to its newest version. Until then the plugin keeps working with its own configuration files, without ComfiConf.
Versions
The bridge, the developer API and the ComfiConfDemo plugin share one version number, and versions follow Semantic Versioning. Read the release notes on the store page before you update.
